"After two hundred thirty-something years of waiting/It's way past overdue/Yeah, I think it's time we put a woman in the White HouseGirls, how about you?/Less bullying and less fighting"
Fun to sing to myself.. don’t have an exact melody, but the words have an easy rhythm. I So look forward to TEN days from now! I’m ready for some serious celebrating! Phone call’s, tears w friends & just people on the grocery store line!
And more work begins !! Don’t know what, but lots to do to make everyone’s lives smoother.. the little ones, the middler ones, the older teens & 20’s… moms with babies and elders w aches n pains…
Carol, I think most of the world will heave a sigh of relief once the U.S., like the song says, has a woman in the White House. I'm guessing there will be a rocky road to maneuver along in the weeks ahead, but it seems that lawyers and law enforcement are well aware of the situation.
Hoping that we can all celebrate very soon and that we continue to work together to make the world a better place.
I am praying for this change for your country Louise, the whole world needs it as much as America does! In fact I think the whole world is holding their breath with you all!
We have one woman candidate for the next election here in France, Marine Le Pen and extreme right wing activist currently on trial for the misappropriation of public funds in the case of Front National parliamentary assistants in the European Parliament, she wouldn't get my vote and if she loses the trial she will lose her following anyway....
You know, Susie, I've been thinking about that, and yes, I believe there HAVE been. I recently wrote about Shirley Chisholm. I believe she was honest. There probably have been more, and I admit I need further study!
Yes! I too have reflected on this question and there are or at least have been more; Gandhi and Mandela to name but two in recent history, also the Venezuelan leader Maduro was held in high esteem also…
