Louise you have just saved me a huge amount of time and effort posting this today! One of my students has a project to complete by next Tuesday on Harriet Tubman and the information is very limited in French! May I have your permission to use this in class please? I would explain its origins and your purpose of course. 🙏🏽

Susie, if you give me a heads-up, I might be able to come up with more that would help with topics that are on the horizon. Anyway, I’m glad you can use it. 🙃

This is beautiful work Louise. I’ve tried writing musical essays on medium but didn’t catch on. I write About social injustices that touch my soul. Sinead O’Connor helps me through her music which is how I found your Substack. I am blessed! Thank you! I’d love to learn Japanese but maybe in ten years. My step dad is staunch Japanese man. Right now I’m after world peace 🕊️ and it’s close. I imagine an underground railway of my own in place. For abused men and women and children who just need resources to get out. That’s the real battle. Fighting indifference even with abused people. Getting them to care to get out and not just maintain the status quo’s because there is less conflict. Peace 🕊️

Thank you, Michelle. There is a lot to learn from songs about history and historical figures. I'm glad you liked the article.

It sounds like you are doing important work, and that the story of Harriet Tubman rings true for you even today. ☮️
